Still in the spirit of using 'half done project' materials, I found suede fabric in the pile. Next, I went to the shelf of my ecoprinted leather. Then, I tried to matching up the lining from the pile with the leather . what kind of bags I wanna made? Simple tote, tote with recessed zipper, or what?. I took the 25cm wire frame on the rack. Thank God, it fit. Next, I prepare my camera, other supplies, moving on to sewing machines, etc.
By the end of the day, it became a Kenikir bag. Wire frame bag with shoulder and long straps. Size 26x16x28 cm. Zipper pocket on the back, and slip pocket inside.
I named it Kenikir Bag, even though there were many other kinds
of leaves there. Kenikir (cosmos) itself—may I called anti-failure leaves and
flowers for ecoprinting. It's also easy to get and cheap. We don't have to buy
it, we can just pick it from our own garden. For ecoprinting, we can get the
best result from the yellow flower. Both flowers and leaves do. But, to be
comsumed, the young leaves of the pink flower is more delicious. The young
leaves in some regions of Indonesia are raw consumed. They just eat it with chilli
sauce. For me, I prefer stream it first before add some peanut sauce. Yummm :D
There is no need a pattern because the shape just rectangulars. Hope you enjoy, thank you! 😉
