RCK Challenge 12, AreumDaun Sling Bag by Hanamade

Well, what can I say? I am so (still) overwhelming (in positif ways) till take 2 months to continued writing about this challenge.

if you follow this blog, you'll see that the last challange is botanical ecoprinting either on leather or fabric. Mentored by me, it was a great deal for us, condering the knowledge of ecoprint (this is what we usually called it in Indonesia) for some people a little bit hard to achieve. Esecially for myself, I have to recall all knowledge of ecoprint 2 years backward before pandemic. and Imust confessed that it so intense when I finally dare myself to share is after a couple year breaking.

For the Areum Daun, the 12th challenge itself was the second challenge for Hanamade or well known as Syifa on bag tutorial making. She is a great artists especially on digital design. She is also the layouter for my second bag making book, Tas Handmade dari Tote ke Backpack.

Designed in Korean Style, Areum itself means pretty, beautiful. And Daun is from bahasa Indonesia for leaf. As you can easily see, the beautiful leaves were formed as flap of the bag. Using canvas fabric for outer, Syifa painted beautiful flowers. As well for the color gradation of the leaves. She painted it.

Many gorgeous bags came up on the date we dealed to upload. I myself made it using canvas and botanical print on leather for the outer.
